Numero Siete

Well, I haven't updated in a long time because I am in the new transition of switching jobs and adjusting my lifestyle to fit the new schedule. But, by all means, that doesn't mean I have stopped crafting.

The earliest craft I made was for a friend. He absolutely loves the Dallas Cowboys. Why? Don't ask me because I have no earthly idea why, but he does. I made him this magnet board. I hope he likes it. I am sure he will since he likes anything with the color blue.
Also, I have been changing out the look of my bedroom from high school, teenage girl, to an adult. So, I've been painting my furniture and finding things to redecorate to match my new pretty blue bed spread. I went to Hobby Lobby earlier this week and bought blue satin material to reupholster my chair that I painted and flowers to hot glue onto my lamp. I was really aiming for a feminine look. :o)

Just an FYI to anyone who is wanting to repaint furniture- don't use Latex paint. You have to paint over it 32840945 times before it remotely looks decent. Those to you who knew that all ready, I am an idiot. However, I used what I had versus going out and buying more. What ever works I suppose? I do feel like my furniture turned out really well though. I can't wait to finish my dresser and desk to match.
The lamp is my favorite part. I saw it on a DIY project online some where (probably www.designsponge.com) and I immediately wanted to do it. I was just waiting to get into my storage unit and dig it up! It would be really cute for a little girls room also, I think.

Numero Seis

Here is the finished canvas I painted for my living room. I really love green and am trying to incorporate it in my living space. :)
ANDDDD.... I collected all my yarn and started crocheting it all together as a blanket. It's going to be a a crazy, whacky-colored blanket but I think it will look awesome. Recycled in a way. :) It's a good thing I still remember how to crochet. My aunt, Rosie, taught me how when I was little. I was supposed to make her a blanket when I was younger, but I am not at all sure of what happened to any of the yarn or needles! Oops!

Numero Cinco

So, my weekend was a complete success. The wedding shower was so beautiful! Janet did such a perfect job on the planning, baking, and decorating. Nicole loved her magnet board! Everyone else loved it so much that even a few ladies took pictures of it to try at home! That made me feel so good!

The bachelorette party was a blast! I made many new friends as well as future plans. Everyone looked so great in pink and black!
I seriously had one of the best times with a bunch of girls that I have ever had and I will remember that night forever. So grateful! Thank you, Nicole, for sharing your special night with me as well as having me in your wedding. :o)
However; before I went to the wedding shower, I out to eat breakfast and then went thrift shopping with my mom and Scott. We bought all the frames from the store! She wants to make some for gifts, I think. We bought all different shapes and sizes! I think the variety will make for good practice as well as make really unique frames.

Kathryn- Lowes has rolls of sheet metal 13 feet long for $10.00. Holla atcha girl! :)

I also bought this really cool side table. It needs a little T.L.C. but I think it is going to be a great addition to my modern couches that I bought a couple months ago. They are going to be perfect! I don't know if I am going to sand them down and re-stain them or if I want to paint them a complete different color. Either way, I am very excited about it.

Here is a picture of the coasters that I made for my friend Alyssa! I have made quite a few for people as gifts! You can get the tiles from Lowes. Lowes and Hobby Lobby are the BEST stores in Oklahoma and I firmly believe that. They are really easy to make! You can do so much with a glue gun! :)

Numero Tres

Hola!

I don't really have anything much to post about, but since this is a blog, I'll do my best.

Well, I decided to put off moving into my own apartment. I change my mind a lot, but that's what girls do. So, that's my only excuse. I decided it would be better to save up as much money as I can while I am in school and focus on studying and saving.

While having more money and more time on my hands, I am finally picking up where I left off in my craft-making. I haven't made anything in a while, but my friend KBURG and I went to Hobby Lobby (a.k.a. Hoblob) this past Saturday and I picked up some things I really needed to get to continue. I picked up a huge canvas and fake daisies.

I got the canvas because I wanted to paint my own wall piece for my living room (when I decide to move out). I can't wait to finish it to match my couches and pillows!

And I got the fake daisies (light purple and white) to make magnets for my magnet board that I am making for my boyfriend's sister's wedding shower. I haven't even finished it and I am all ready in love with it. I can't wait to see what it looks like finished and, of course, to see her face when she first sees it!

Here is what I have started for the magnet board. Let me know if you like it so far! :)

Numero Dos

I am finally able to upload photos! Whoo! Okay, so here is something I did a while ago. Maybe in November? I'm not sure. When I was in high school I had a huge thing for zebra print. What girl didn't? Well, I loved to doodle and became decent at drawing the animal's print. This is just an old picture frame I had laying around!

I have been very interested in making my own canvases instead of paying for expensive artwork online or in stores. So, I practiced making my own and here are some designs I came up with. I made the flowery one for my friend Kathryn.

I also, lately, found this cabinet from a local thrift store. It needs a lot of TLC but I plan on working on it this summer. My little project for my soon to be apartment. :-)

Numero Uno

Well, I'm not going to lie. I was greatly influenced to start a blog by my creative, dear friend, KBurg. So here goes nothing.

My name is Hannah. I am 21 years old and currently reside in Oklahoma. I am a part time student at a local community college as a Spanish major and I work my life away as a full time bank teller. I also have a great boyfriend who supports everything I do whether he knows it's wrong or right (thanks babe, means a lot!). I am constantly surrounded by my close friends and loved ones who help me press forward every day.

This summer I have set out many goals for myself. Pass Algebra, lose weight, and even learn how to make new crafts. Over the past few months I have made a few things, but for the sake of boring blog readers, I won't post everything.

Also. This is my first time using this web site and so far I am not liking it at all. It's not letting me upload any photos. So, stay tuned?
